Kriti Dress
There's a certain kind of morning the Kriti Dress seems made for — the kind where nothing is rushed, where a cup of tea is still warm in your hand and the day hasn't quite asked anything of you yet. It falls loose from the shoulder, the way a favourite robe might, gathered softly at a tie-neck and finished with delicate cotton tassels that sway with each small movement. The sleeves are wide and dropped, giving room to breathe, to reach, to simply be.
Where the pocket meets the skirt, a single branch wanders across the fabric — hand-embroidered in a deep rust red, as though drawn from memory of some late-winter tree just beginning to flower. Small blossoms in yellow and dusty blue appear along its length, not in any careful order, but the way blooms actually arrive — a little here, a little there, some still closed, some open to the light. Each one is stitched by hand, so that no two dresses ever carry quite the same story.
Beneath it all is 100% Chanderi mul — a handloom fabric so light it seems to move before you do, catching air and letting it go just as easily.
Made in Mogra Safed, a soft off-white the colour of early morning, under the label of Saloni Mathur — where every piece is made slowly, and made with love.
